Do you feel stress at work, worry about your family or health, or feel lonely sometimes?
Recent studies from The Health Foundation show that nearly two-thirds of adults in the UK (63%) reported feeling worried about how COVID-19 is affecting their wellbeing and over 50% of adults reported feeling stressed or anxious.
Here at Element Four, we talk about our ways to wellbeing among the team. To wrap up this week’s World Wellbeing Week, we would like to share with you what we do to keep ourselves happy and foster positivity:
Connecting with the nature: We have bird watchers within our team and we enjoy going for long walks in nature reserve or woodland areas. Lying down or walking barefoot on the grass is something you should try doing this summer (English weather permitting)!
Doing things that you enjoy: For our team, this could mean baking, solving puzzles or sudoku, reading a good book in your favourite comfy clothes or even using a headspace app to be mindfulness.
Be selective on how much and what type of media you expose yourself to. One of our team members even mentioned that his secret to happiness is to not watch the news!
Getting a good night’s sleep! This is crucial to make us feel refreshed and able to feel happiness in our lives.
