217 Bath Road in Slough is a refurbished office building located in close proximity to multiple transit stops, an outdoor walking trail, a restorative garden and outdoor fitness area, all of which encourage physical activity and mental wellbeing.
On site there is an entrance and side building plaza as well as a rear terrace on the ground floor, all of which include seating and planting. The café on the third floor provides a thorough healthy food & beverage policy and to further promote occupant health there is a regular fresh fruit and vegetable delivery scheme in place. The lactation room on the lower ground floor supports social equity and the gym, with shower and locker facilities, encourages increased physical activity and wellbeing for occupants.
Operationally, Epic were able to develop and put in place a variety of policies and surveys, including a regular stakeholder collaboration process, an annual occupant satisfaction and commuter survey, a health promotion program, a detailed integrated pest management plan, a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan, and an emergency address notification system. These important strategies result in occupants and visitors having their health, safety and wellbeing kept in mind now and into the future.
