WELL Building Standard
In 2014, the WELL Building Standard was released as the first building certification focussing purely on human health. It has quickly gained momentum with hundreds of UK projects currently seeking certification. It can be applied to schemes of any type or size.
WELL is based on ten holistic ‘concepts’ that must be addressed to ensure good health and wellbeing in the built environment. Actions are required by both the design & construction and the client & operations teams to deliver long-term benefits to occupants.
WELL has similarities with BREEAM (e.g. specific design criteria, a scoring system based on preconditions & optional additional credits, third-party certification) but places a heavy emphasis on performance testing for air, water and light quality. A third-party assessor visits the building post-occupation to carry out an inspection, take measurements and samples, to verify that the property meets the standard’s criteria in operation.
There are three levels of certification; Silver, Gold & Platinum. Once certification is achieved, it is valid for three years.
We are WELL Building Standard Accredited Professionals, qualified and experienced in guiding design teams and clients to achieve certification.
RESET Air Quality Monitoring
RESETair is a global workplace air quality certification scheme. After evaluating and enhancing your building air quality, we can help you deliver RESETair certification.
We design all projects to the RESET standard and delivering the accreditation is a simple process once the equipment is in place.
RESETair is also aligned with Fitwel and undertaking the assessment will add key strategy points to your Fitwel accreditation.
Since its launch in 1990, BREEAM remains one of the world's leading sustainability assessment methods for masterplanning projects, infrastructure and buildings. The standard recognises and reflects the value inherent in higher-performing assets across the built environment lifecycle, from new construction, in-use and refurbishment.
We are certified BREEAM Assessors and experienced in guiding design teams and clients to achieve certification.
Project Sustainability Champion
We help organisations and project delivery teams understand the challenges and opportunities posed by the current global climate and ecological emergency, developing sustainability strategies that deliver real improvements in environmental and social impacts. We collaborate with our clients and their stakeholders through workshops and engagement sessions that are informative, thought-provoking and highly practical.
We have pioneered an approach we call “disruptive sustainability”; cutting through the jargon and greenwash, engaging hearts and minds, making sustainability relevant and inspiring, empowering and equipping all team members to deliver exceptional results.
Corporate ESG Strategies
For some organisations, environmental and social impacts are highly visible through the purchase of raw materials, production of waste and direct interaction with communities. For many others however, and particularly those in service industries, the impacts of their work may be hidden from view due to geographic distance, supply chains or technology interfaces.
We will work with you to identify and understand both the direct impacts of your activities and the less visible but potentially more significant, up and downstream impacts.
We then help create meaningful environmental, social and governance strategies that empower and inspire positive action.
With our support, clients can develop a strategy that focuses on what really matters – delivering financial performance whilst benefitting people and the planet.
Health & Wellbeing Improvement Programme
Many organisations make the mistake of copying others or subscribing to another’s goals. If your wellbeing strategy is to succeed, it must be real and relevant – after all, you’ll be basing business decisions on it for many years.
We help create meaningful strategies that focus on what’s really important. No jargon.
